Mazzolini Consulting is a private Texas limited liability company. We work in a deliberately narrow range so that our attention can remain on the work, not on the practice that performs it.

Our practice exists for the kind of software that ordinary organizations actually need: the systems that route the work, hold the records, make the integrations function, and quietly keep the operation moving.
We are not a venture-backed studio, an outsourcing firm, or a design boutique. We are a small technology practice, and we are content to remain one.
Working software is a relationship, not a deliverable.
The decision to remain small is a posture choice, not a business limitation. It allows us to be selective about the work we accept, careful about the work we deliver, and present for the work we maintain.

Selectivity
We decline more engagements than we accept.
We accept engagements where the workflow is genuine, the success criteria can be stated in writing, and the people responsible for the system intend to remain responsible for it. We turn down engagements that require us to compromise on documentation, on reliability, or on the kind of plain accountability that allows a system to be trusted.
When we decline, we try to explain why, and where possible to suggest a colleague better suited to the work.
